Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant – Home Health Sign on Bonus
We are looking to hire an upbeat and professional Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA), to assist the supervising health care team with the everyday activities of patients in a home health & assisted living facility setting. Addressing deficits in a patient's ability to perform activities of daily living (ADL) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL) relative to physical, cognitive, and/or psychological impairments.
Responsibilities:
Support patient health and participation in life through engaging in everyday activities in collaboration with other health care providers.
Observe patients they are working with before, during and after therapy and communicating report notes to health care team for optimal patient care.
Counsel patients and families on what to do following treatment.
Functions as a team member in care of patients.
Documents patient care and billing information timely and in accordance with department standards.
Maintains clinical productivity standards.
Participates in in-services, staff meetings, quality activities and aspects of program development.
Maintains awareness of patient safety issues within their home and in the use of equipment. Assists in the maintenance of patient care equipment as needed.
May have other duties assigned as needed.

Requirements:
Graduate from an accredited Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant program required.
Current Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license within State of practice.
CPR certification with American Heart Association or America Red Cross.
1 year of experience.
Home Health experience preferred.
Positive attitude and dedication to quality patient care.
Adequate written and verbal skills.
Strong communication skills.
Valid Driver's license and reliable transportation.
