nAs a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant , you’ll contribute to our success in the following ways:
nnnProvide occupational therapy services by following the care plan developed by the Occupational Therapist.
n
nnVisit patients regularly and monitor their progress during each visit.
n
nnReport changes in a patient's condition to the Occupational Therapist, physician, and care team.
n
nnFollow physician orders and the established plan of care.
n
nnTeach patients and caregivers home therapy exercises and safe techniques.
n
nnWork closely with the care team to provide coordinated, high-quality patient care.
n
nnComplete accurate and timely documentation for each patient visit.
n
nnHelp reduce avoidable hospital and emergency room visits through proactive patient care.
n
nnStay up to date on healthcare regulations and agency policies.
n
nnWork in a physically active role that may include lifting, transferring patients, and occasional irregular or on-call hours.

n nWhat is Required?
nnnGraduate of a certified occupational therapy curriculum established by the Occupational Therapy Association
n
nnCurrent, unrestricted COTA certification in the state of work
n
nnMinimum one (1) year of experience as a COTA in a clinical care setting
n
nnAbility to frequently lift, push, pull, and support up to 50 pounds, including positioning or transferring patients and moving equipment
n
nnMust possess a valid driver's license, maintain an acceptable driving record, OR have reliable transportation to travel between patient homes and assigned work locations.
