Job description

Under the direction of an Occupational Therapist, the COTA provides restorative and rehabilitative occupational therapy services to participants at the center and in their homes to maximize independence, safety, and performance of ADLs. This role is different because COTAs at our facility:

Have work/life balance - no after hours of documentation

We care about our team members. That's why we offer:

Medical insurance coverage (Medical, Dental, Vision)

Work/life balance - We mean it! 17 days of personal time off (PTO), 12 holidays observed annually, and 6 sick days

401K savings + match

Comprehensive compensation package including base pay and bonus

And additional benefits!

On the day-to-day, you will:

Administer participant treatment programs as established by the Occupational Therapist

Assist the Occupational Therapist in obtaining vital signs, ranges of motion, and strength testing

Coordinate with other members of the Rehabilitation team to implement activities and programs based on participants' individual treatment plans

Handle scheduling of participants' treatments, clinical visits, and billing

Document occupational therapy interventions in accordance with established care plans including but not limited to the use of devices, techniques, and activities to promote muscle re-education, perceptual-motor and cognitive function, balance, and endurance, and other factors affecting independence in performing ADLs

Must-Haves:

Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) associate's degree from an accredited program

Valid California OTA license, or proof of license eligibility

Minimum of two (2) years of OTA experience in a clinical setting with a frail or elderly population

OTA knowledge necessary to treat frail, elderly participants with complex needs

We are seeking COTAs that ideally have outpatient, acute, inpatient, or skilled nursing experience. If you're ready to join a holistic care team that values both its participants and providers, we'd love to hear from you!
