Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dedicated team at Cumberland Nursing and Rehab, one of the nation's largest providers of post-acute care. About the Role:

As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist to provide high-quality occupational therapy services to our patients. Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting occupational therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans

Guiding patients through therapeutic activities to improve their ability to perform daily living and working skills (ADLs)

Monitoring patients' progress and reporting any changes to the occupational therapist

Educating patients and their families on adaptive techniques, equipment, and home exercises

Maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with the healthcare team

Responsibilities:

Assisting with patient evaluations and functional assessments

Developing and implementing treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist

Providing individualized and group occupational therapy sessions

Maintaining accurate records and progress reports

Communicating effectively with the healthcare team

Educating patients and their families on proper adaptive techniques and exercises

Requirements:

Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program

Current state certification/licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Minimum (insert minimum years of experience) years of experience as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
