Open Job: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant – (Center Based With Home Visits)Location: San Jose, CaliforniaSalary: $74,609 to $98,508Benefits - FullIdeal Candidate:We are seeking COTAs that ideally have outpatient, acute, inpatient, or skilled nursing experience.Details:Working with an Elderly population, The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) is a key member of the interdisciplinary team, collaborating with other members of the Rehabilitation team to implement care plans and providing condition updates to the clinical team.Under the direction of an Occupational Therapist, the COTA provides restorative and rehabilitative occupational therapy services to participants at the center and in their homes to maximize independence, safety, and performance of ADLs.On The Day-To-Day, You Will:Administer participant treatment programs as established by the Occupational TherapistAssist the Occupational Therapist in obtaining vital signs, ranges of motion, and strength testingCoordinate with other members of the Rehabilitation team to implement activities and programs based on participants' individual treatment plansHandle scheduling of participants' treatments, clinical visits, and billingDocument occupational therapy interventions in accordance with established care plans including but not limited to the use of devices, techniques, and activities to promote muscle re-education, perceptual-motor and cognitive function, balance, and endurance, and other factors affecting independence in performing ADLsJob Requirements:Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) associate's degree from an accredited programValid California OTA license, or proof of license eligibilityMinimum of two (2) years of OTA experience in a clinical setting with a frail or elderly populationOTA knowledge necessary to treat frail, elderly participants with complex needsThis Role Is Different Because:Have lower patient volumes – no more seeing 3-4 patients an hourForm long-term relationships with participants rather than short-term rehab stintsCollaborate with other therapists, providers, and disciplinesHave work/life balance - no after hours of documentationBenefits:Medical insurance coverage (Medical, Dental, Vision)Work/life balance - We mean it! 17 days of personal time off (PTO), 12 holidays observed annually, and 6 sick days401K savings + matchComprehensive compensation package including base pay and bonusAnd additional benefits!If you are interested in pursuing this opportunity, please respond back and include the following:MS WORD ResumeRequired compensation.Contact information.AvailabilityUpon receipt, one of our managers will contact you to discuss the position in full detail.
