Job description
Step into a fulfilling contract position as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) supporting students' growth and independence in a school-based environment. This is a full-time opportunity working Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 2:30 pm, across several school sites in the area. Your expertise will help make a daily difference in the lives of children and educators.
Qualifications and Skills:
Current COTA certification and appropriate state licensure
Knowledge of school-based therapy practices for diverse student populations
Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
Ability to work independently and adapt to various school settings
Prior experience in educational settings preferred, but dedicated new graduates are encouraged to apply
Key Responsibilities: Provide direct occupational therapy services to students under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
Assist in the development and implementation of intervention plans tailored to individual student needs
Carry out therapeutic activities in both classroom and one-on-one settings
Collect data, maintain accurate records, and contribute to IEP documentation as required
Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and related service personnel
Travel between multiple school locations as scheduled
