Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)Come join the team at WeCare Centers! WeCare Centers at Foltsbrook Care Center is actively seeking a motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for our community in Herkimer, NY!Key ResponsibilitiesWork in collaboration with the OT to establish a rehabilitation plan.Consult with the rehabilitation team to choose effective activity programs.Coordinate occupational therapy with other types of therapeutic activities.Follow guidance of OTR/L in selecting therapy activities to fit Residents' needs and capabilities.Assist Residents in carrying out daily activities.Teach Residents how to use special equipment to assist with daily function.Report the Resident's progress to the OTR/L.Responsibly and accurately document treatments and outcomes in rehab software.Assist in educating patients with home exercise programs and use of equipment.Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseGraduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.Certification as Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state of NYKnowledge of principles, methods, and equipment used in occupational therapy.BenefitsHealth InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceVoluntary BenefitsEmployee Referral ProgramSame Day Pay401(k) with discretionary matchEAPWe reward hard working and caring professionals with competitive pay, benefits, and growth opportunities!
