This opportunity is ideal for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) who enjoys working in diverse educational environments and is ready to serve K-12 students at multiple schools throughout the county. Assignments are provided over the summer to allow for planning and a smooth transition into the school year.Desired Qualifications:Active Florida COTA license (required)Previous experience in a school setting is highly preferredWillingness to travel regularly to several school sites throughout Hendry CountyFlexibility and adaptability to serve the needs of students from different backgrounds and grade levelsStrong communication and collaboration skills with teachers, staff, and familiesPrimary Responsibilities:Deliver occupational therapy services to K-12 students, supporting their academic and functional successCollaborate with educators and related service providers to create effective treatment plansDocument assessments, progress, and session notes in compliance with school and district guidelinesAdjust treatment strategies as needed, responding to student progress and evolving needsParticipate in IEP meetings and contribute to student goal setting as part of a multidisciplinary teamAs a valued contract team member, you will enjoy the reward of building meaningful relationships with students and educators, while honing your expertise across a variety of school settings.
