Job description

Key Qualifications:
Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Experience working with school-aged children or in educational settings preferred
Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation standards
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for collaborating with teachers, therapists, and families
Ability to adapt therapeutic approaches to meet individual student needs
Current state licensure or eligibility to obtain (assistance provided if needed)
Primary Responsibilities: Provide direct therapy services to students according to established IEP goals
Assist supervising occupational therapist with evaluations and treatment planning
Maintain thorough documentation of student progress, therapy sessions, and outcomes
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to student support plans
Implement activities that promote fine motor, sensory processing, and adaptive skills development in the classroom setting
Communicate regularly with educators and caregivers to facilitate carryover of therapeutic techniques
