Job description
Make a difference supporting students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in a dynamic school setting near Fishers, IN! This contract opportunity allows you to apply your expertise to help children achieve their academic and developmental goals while gaining valuable experience in a collaborative educational environment.
Key Qualifications:
Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Current COTA license (or eligibility) in Indiana
Prior experience in schools or pediatrics preferred, but open to new grads with strong clinical skills
Strong communication and organizational abilities
Ability to adapt and contribute to a multi-disciplinary team
Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment
Primary Duties: Support students' educational plans by implementing therapeutic activities under an Occupational Therapist's supervision
Collect data on student progress and provide feedback for IEP documentation
Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to facilitate student success
Assist in developing adaptive strategies and modifying classroom materials
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with school and state regulations
