Job description
Make a real impact supporting students and schools as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in the vibrant Kansas City area! This contract opportunity, available through 5/21/27, offers the chance to elevate student success throughout several campuses while collaborating with experienced Occupational Therapists.
In this role, you'll provide essential support by implementing therapy plans, fostering greater independence and confidence in your students. Schedules are highly flexible-the COTA determines their weekly campus visits, ensuring you can effectively balance your professional and personal life.
What We're Seeking:
Valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) licensure
Experience in school settings or a desire to work with children and adolescents
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to thrive independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Adaptability: Comfortable working across 1-3 campuses as needed
Responsibilities Include: Deliver direct therapy to students under the guidance of district Occupational Therapists
Implement individualized education program (IEP) goals and monitor progress
Collaborate regularly with OTs and school staff to address student needs
Document services and maintain accurate student records
Support caseload management and creatively solve challenges in diverse education environments
Foster a positive and encouraging atmosphere for students
