Job description
Step into an impactful role making a difference in the lives of young children as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) within preschool and childcare environments. This contract position, with a schedule from mid-August 2026 through late July 2027, offers the rewarding opportunity to collaborate with educational teams near the Quakertown area and support the growth and development of students in Bethlehem and Stroudsburg, PA. You'll work a steady schedule of 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with your day beginning at 7:45 AM and concluding at 3:15 PM.
Key Qualifications:
Active COTA licensure in Pennsylvania.
Experience working in schools or pediatric settings preferred.
Strong collaborative and communication skills with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Familiarity with the specific needs of preschool and early childhood populations.
Ability to adapt strategies for a growing and diverse caseload (starting near 30 and increasing to approximately 50 students).
Core Responsibilities: Deliver occupational therapy support under the guidance of an Occupational Therapist.
Facilitate interventions to promote students' participation in school-based activities and routines.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and progress.
Participate in team meetings, IEP planning, and parent communications.
Travel between assigned preschool and childcare settings as needed.
