nDescription
nThe purpose of this position is to assure quality Occupational Therapy services to Lake Region Healthcare patients. The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) has contact with all hospital service areas, physicians, volunteers, prospective employees, student training facilities, and community organizations and individuals. Effective interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this position. The incumbent has access to sensitive, confidential information and must be able to maintain those confidences. The incumbent establishes the work procedures and priorities within imposed deadlines.
nHours/Shifts
nCasual (less than 32 hours biweekly), temporary position.
nCompensation
nHourly Wage Range: $26.69-$34.18. Please note that final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications and internal equity considerations.

nQualifications
nRequirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge, skills, and/or abilities.
nnnEducation/special Skills: Must be licensed to practice in the state of Minnesota by the Minnesota Department of Health and registered with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc., or will become registered within the first 6 months of employment. This position requires current Healthcare Provider level CPR certification upon hire or must be obtained within 6 months.

nnSuccessful completion of the pre-employment health screening process required.

nnMental Demands: Must be mentally alert to note changes and direct patient care with a focus on safety.

nnMust be able to attend the work site as scheduled.
