You'll work alongside experienced rehabilitation professionals who understand that the best outcomes come from working together.What Will You Do as a COTA?Working under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, you'll help residents improve the skills they need to participate more independently in everyday life.Your responsibilities will include:Implementing individualized occupational therapy treatment plansHelping residents improve activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting and self-careAddressing strength, balance, coordination, endurance and functional mobility as they relate to daily activitiesProviding therapeutic activities designed to improve independence and safetyMonitoring resident response to treatment and communicating progress with the supervising OTEducating residents, families and caregivers on strategies that support continued successCollaborating with PT, OT, SLP, nursing and other members of the interdisciplinary care teamCompleting accurate and timely clinical documentationMost importantly, you'll help residents work toward something incredibly valuable: greater independence and quality of life.
