Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

nnCOMPENSATION: $30-$35 / Hourly DOE (with Bonus Opportunity)
nSTATUS: Full-Time
nSCHEDULE: M-F 8am – 5pm (Schedule Flexibility)
nLOCATION: East Valley (Mesa / Gilbert / Apache Junction / Chandler)

As a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant at Aegis Healthcare, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional home health and end-of-life care to our patients.
nnJob Summary
nnAddress patient's performance to support engagement in occupations that affect health, well-being, and life quality
nSelect appropriate occupational therapy treatment model, method, and approach to direct the process of interventions
nConsults with OT regarding change in treatment.
nUnderstands and adheres to established Agency policies and procedures.
nParticipates in in-service education.
nAssists in preparing clinical and progress notes.
nImproves or minimizes residual physical impairments of the patient.
nTeach patient's new ways of approaching tasks and educate them on how to break down activities into achievable components
nPerforms services planned, delegated and supervised by the OT.
nAssess patient's home and other environments and advise on alterations consistent with their needs and capabilities
nRecommend adaptive equipment and train in its use
nGuide and educate family members and caregivers

nnDesired Skills & Qualifications
nnGraduate from a two-year college level program approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association
nCurrent Licensed, registered of Certified in the state of practice
nMinimum of 2 years related experience preferred.
nStrong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well with different types of personalities
nAbility to exercise initiative and independent judgement
nEffective verbal & written communication & time management skills
nValid Driver's License (clean record) & reliable transportation.
nProof of current auto insurance & registration
nValid AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card (we can help)
nCurrent CPR Certification (we can help) & Negative TB Test (we can test)
