Position Overview
Cypress Ridge Care Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join its rehabilitation team within a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting. This role focuses on supporting patients in regaining independence and improving their ability to perform daily living activities through structured occupational therapy programs.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in delivering occupational therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
Implement individualized care plans to improve patients' functional abilities and independence
Monitor and document patient progress and response to therapy
Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and adaptive strategies
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility standards
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated patient care
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and clinical guidelines
Required Qualifications
Active California Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license
Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience
Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) preferred
Familiarity with NetHealth (Rehab Optima) documentation system preferred
Strong communication, organizational, and patient care skills
Schedule & Work Details
Shift: Day shift
Guaranteed Hours: 38 per week
Overtime: Applicable after 40 hours per week
On-Call: Not required
Holiday Requirement: Coverage required
