Weare seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented CertifiedOccupational Therapy Assistant to join a Skilled Nursing FacilityinMemphis,Tennessee. Inthis role, you will workunder the supervision of a licensedOccupational Therapist tosupport patients in regaining independencewith daily livingactivities following illness, injury, or surgery.This is arewarding opportunity to work with a geriatric andpost-acutepopulation while making a direct impact on patientrecovery andquality of life.
Job Responsibilities:
•Assist inimplementing occupationaltherapy treatment plans under thesupervision of an OccupationalTherapist
•Guide patientsthrough therapeutic activitiesfocused on improving dailyliving skills
•Monitor patientprogress and report anychanges or concerns to the supervisingOccupationalTherapist
•Educate patients and caregivers onadaptivetechniques and proper use of equipment
•Maintainaccurateand timely documentation of treatments and patientprogress
•Ensure compliance with facility policies andregulatory standards
Requirements
•Active state license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistantin California
•Current BLS/CPR certification
•Minimum of6months of recent COTA experience within the last 5 yearspreferred
•Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility orgeriatric setting is a plus
•Strong communication andinterpersonal skills
