Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) – Somerville, MASeeking a skilled Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) for a 13-week contract assignment in Somerville, Massachusetts. This is a full-time opportunity offering consistent hours in a fast-paced ophthalmology setting.Schedule:40 hours per week13-week contractPay:$40 per hourResponsibilities:Prepare patients for examination by the OphthalmologistComplete thorough medical work-ups prior to provider evaluation, including:Medical historyChief complaintReview of current medicationsVisual acuity testingIntraocular pressure measurementPerform accurate refractionsConduct visual field testing, A-scan, and corneal topographyAssist with fundus photographyPrepare fluorescein syringesTriage telephone issues and document appropriately in patient chartsOpen and close exam rooms; clean and maintain rooms as neededCheck equipment for cleanliness and ensure biomed reviews are currentSterilize instruments and maintain equipmentAssist Ophthalmologists with minor procedures and laser surgeriesDemonstrate strong organizational skills, prioritize daily workload, and exercise sound judgmentSubmission Requirements:Active Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) certification requiredThis is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented Ophthalmic Technician looking for a steady 13-week contract in a reputable clinical setting.Apply today to learn more.
