Payroll/Labor Compliance Clerk

?? Schedule: Monday-Friday
?? Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire
?? Pay Rate: $26-$32/hour
Immediate Opening
We are seeking a Payroll/Labor Compliance Clerk to join our team in Fontana, CA. This is an immediate need due to a recent resignation and offers the opportunity to transition into a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities
Process and maintain payroll records, with a focus on construction payroll and certified payroll reporting
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor regulations
Assist with labor compliance documentation, audits, and reporting requirements
Review and verify employee timekeeping and payroll data for accuracy
Maintain organized payroll and compliance records
Support internal teams with payroll-related inquiries and requests
Utilize Excel to prepare reports, analyze data, and maintain tracking spreadsheets
Qualifications
Previous payroll experience required, preferably within the construction industry
Experience processing certified payroll and working with labor compliance requirements
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
