We are seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a 13-week locum tenens role focused on general and orthopedic anesthesia. This outpatient orthopedic surgery center uses Epic and offers a supportive environment with MD supervision. Supervision:
MDs supervising CRNAs (approx. 1:4 ratio)
Required Qualifications
Current registered professional nurse license (RN)
Graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program
Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists
State CRNA licensure or eligibility to obtain Maryland licensure for locum assignments
Core Responsibilities
Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and assessments for orthopedic patients
Obtain and verify informed consent and discuss anesthetic options and risks
Provide induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia for general and orthopedic cases
Continuously monitor physiological status and respond with clinical interventions as needed
Collaborate with surgeons, MD anesthesiologists, and perioperative staff to ensure safe patient care
Document anesthesia care accurately in Epic EHR
