n nAbout the Anesthesia department:
nWe’re seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team! I n the Scott's Hill Medical Center Anesthesia Department, we have an excellent team environment where you can collaborate with your fellow Nurse Anesthetists and work together for the good of the patients . 8 Operating Rooms. Service Lines include: General, GYN, Urology and Robotics.
nWhat We're Looking For
nnnEducation: High School Diploma or GED, required.
n
nnBSN, MSN, DNP, and/or graduate diploma level certification required. Graduate from both an Accredited School of Nursing and School of Nurse Anesthesia. Certified by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetist (NBCRNA) as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) and recognized by the state of practice as a CRNA. Must meet minimum continuing education requirements every four years of the NBCRNA.

nnExperience: Previous experience is not necessary. Four to six week orientation period for new graduates (working with preceptor) is required. Orientation period for experienced providers will depend on previous experience and clinical skills.

nnLicensure/Certification/Registration:
n
nnCurrent RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
n
nnCurrent CRNA endorsement in appropriate state, required.
n
nnNBCRNA certification, required.
n
nnACLS certification within NH policy, required.
n
nnBLS certification within NH policy, required.
n
nnPALS certification within NH policy, required.
n
nnAdditional skills required:
n
nnMust have extensive knowledge of current anesthetic agents, techniques, drugs and equipment.
n
nnHas knowledge and skills necessary to modify the anesthetic plan of care suitable to patient age.
n
nnMust have considerable ability to make independent decisions, sometimes under stress, and to maintain a professional demeanor with patients, coworkers and physicians.
