nJob Description:
nWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our anesthesia care team. The CRNA will be responsible for administering intravenous, inhalation, and regional anesthetics to render persons insensible to pain during surgical procedures, obstetrical deliveries, or other medical and dental procedures. Potentially administers anesthesia to all ages and A.S.A. classes of patients, including geriatrics and pediatrics. Provides airway management services as needed throughout the hospital.
nWork-Life:
nnCardiovascular, thoracic, general surgery, urology, vascular, neurosurgery, orthopedics, gynecology (including GYN oncology and urogynecology), ENT, plastic surgery, pediatric and interventional radiology.
nOff Site anesthetics are performed in the Cardiac Cath Lab, Endoscopy, Interventional Radiology, MRI, and Obstetrics.
nVariety of shifts offered (8, 10, 12, 16 and 24 hours)
nFlexible self-scheduling
nMinimal call and weekend requirements
n nKey Responsibilities:
nnConduct pre-anesthesia assessments and develop tailored anesthesia care plans.
nAdminister anesthesia (general, regional, or monitored anesthesia care) in collaboration with surgeons and other healthcare providers.
nMonitor patients during procedures and manage any anesthesia-related complications.
nProvide post-anesthesia care and pain management.
nMaintain accurate documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
n nnQualifications:
Qualifications
nnCurrent RN license and CRNA certification (NBCRNA).
nMaster’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited nurse anesthesia program.
nExcellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
nGraduation from an accredited school of anesthesia.
nAbility to work harmoniously in collaborative situations with anesthesiologists and other health care providers.
n nCertifications/Licensures Required and maintains currency of:
n• Clinical Privileges • State of Michigan RN License • State Specialty Certification • CRNA Certification • ALS Certification • BLS Certification• PALS Certification
