Job description
Certified School Nurse
School Nurses promote the physical, mental, emotional, and social well being of student and staff. The school nurse is directly responsible for the Health Services program in assigned buildings.
Key responsibilities include student health appraisal, health office management, implementing the school health program, special education, safety, professional development, and communication.
Qualifications include Type 73 Certification, Audiometric Certification, Vision Screening Certification, CPR/AED Instructor certification, and first aid instructor recommended.
Work conditions include talking, hearing, standing, walking, reaching, lifting, and vision abilities in a usually moderate noise level environment.
Terms of employment are per NUEA contract.
