Job description
Bring your passion for student support to a meaningful contract opportunity! This full-time position (35 hours per week) invites a skilled School Social Worker to play a vital role at the elementary level, providing essential guidance and interventions to young learners. The contract is set to begin as soon as possible and extends through June 2027, offering you the chance to make a genuine difference throughout the academic journey.
Candidates in this role will undertake a diverse caseload, collaborating with groups and individuals and working closely with educators to ensure comprehensive care for all students. From crisis intervention to IEP participation, your expertise will directly impact the well-being and success of children in need of support.
Key Qualifications:
Active Master Social Worker license
PED certification as a School Social Worker in New Mexico
Prior experience in a school setting, particularly with elementary-aged students, is preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Responsibilities Include: Providing group and individual counseling to elementary students
Attending and contributing to IEP meetings
Supporting students and staff during crisis situations
Collaborating with teachers, parents, and administration for holistic student support
Thorough documentation and case management for assigned cases
Eligible candidates in this role may receive a compensation rate between $38 and $45 per hour. Additional benefits can include healthcare coverage, housing options, and meals/incidentals, with a detailed healthcare benefits plan available after your application.
