Lead Certified Sterile Process TechnicianWe are looking for a Lead Certified Sterile Process Technician, someone who's ready to grow with our company. In this position, you will assist the Manager in supervising the efficient processing of instruments and sterilization throughout the Hospital.Think you've got what it takes?Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesProcesses decontaminated medical devices as they are received, according to established priorities, medical device IFU's and best practices.Ensures staff are trained in the operation of the decontamination equipment.Receives instruments from the decontamination area and processes appropriately.Performs physical and environmental duties as designated routinely, including cleaning workspace/instrument room/cabinets, emptying biohazards waste, monitoring sterilizers, and checking environmental monitors.Completes sterilization processes.High level disinfection.Monitor completion of Quality Assurance DataEnsure the department is adequately staffed daily, including weekends.Collaborate with others i.e., OR coordinators BioMed, Supply Chain, for troubleshooting/ordering instruments etc.Performs other duties as assigned, including other essential instrument room duties.As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace, all successful candidates will be required to undergo respiratory fit testing in compliance with occupational health and safety standards.Skills & RequirementsRequired H.S. Diploma or GEDRequired CRCST - Cert-Cert Reg Cent Ser TECH by The Healthcare Sterile Processing Association Or CSPDT - Cert-Sterile Proc & Dist Tech by the Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician issued by The Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution2 years hospital instrument processingAbout UsTexas Children's presence in Austin helps support a pediatric population of more than half a million and keeps kids healthy and happy from birth to adulthood.
