Job description
Instrument TechnicianUnder the department leadership, the Instrument Technician is responsible to provide support services in the perioperative setting, including main OR, Short Stay Unit, and the PACU and all other hospital departments. Cleans, assembles equipment, sterilizes and disinfects supplies, instruments, and equipment according to established policies and procedures. Performs material management functions in relation to par levels. Accurately documents the sterilization process.Previous experience in sterile processing or current certification in sterile processing required.High school diploma, G.E.D. required. Completion of a sterile processing course or equivalent work experience in instrument processing required.Certification from HSPA – CRCST or CBSPD – CSPDT requiredAssigned Work Hours: M-F 12pm-8:30pm rotating weekends; occasional rotating shifts.Position Type: RegularPay Range (based on years of applicable experience): $37.61 to $50.32The hours employees work determine when a shift differential is paid.Hourly Evening Shift Differential: $2.17Hourly Night Shift Differential: $3.26
