Job description
Assembler III / Certified WelderAssembler III / Certified Welder is responsible for fabricating component parts or assembling the finished product according to the customer's specifications. Secures and maintains correct component parts and supplies required for the operation.Principle Duties and ResponsibilitiesWelder responsibilitiesCompletes work area setupFits parts together in accordance with the prescribed manner and in accordance with quality standardsOperates equipment and tools as required to complete the assembly processPrevents and controls waste of raw materialConduct quality inspections to ensure compliance with standardsEnsures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operateCompletes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concernsMaintains a clean and orderly work environmentProvides basic TPM to equipment and completes TPM paperwork when requiredMaintains production records as requiredPerforms duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standardsParticipates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetingsPerforms other duties as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma/GED preferred but not requiredMinimum 6 months of experience assembling components or specialty products is required 1 year of experience or more is preferred.Working knowledge of basic mathMay have certification in area of expertise including welding, etc.Must be at least 18 years of ageHourly/Salary Pay Range: $50,000 - $100,000 annually dependent on experience* *pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of livingBonus/Incentive Pay For hourly positions with incentive pay: Incentive pay may be available for certain job roles and may include piece rate incentives, weekly production bonuses, and trip rate bonuses. A discretionary annual bonus based on Company and business unit performance may also be provided.
