Chief Financial Officer - Confidential Private Equity-Backed Opportunity
A private equity-backed company is confidentially evaluating experienced CFO candidates to lead its finance function and serve as a strategic partner to the CEO, ownership and Board. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for a commercially minded CFO who can combine strong financial management with operational leadership and a focus on business performance.
Responsibilities
Lead the company's overall financial strategy, planning and execution.
Partner with the CEO, Board and ownership on strategic planning, growth initiatives and value creation.
Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, FP&A, cash flow and financial controls.
Drive EBITDA improvement, margin expansion and working-capital optimization.
Develop and implement meaningful financial and operational KPIs.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, reporting and overall financial infrastructure.
Support acquisitions, due diligence and post-acquisition integration as applicable.
Provide actionable financial analysis to support operational and strategic decisions.
Build, develop and lead a high-performing finance and accounting team.
Present financial results, forecasts and recommendations to senior leadership and the Board.
Serve as a hands-on business partner who can identify opportunities and translate financial data into operational results.
Ideal Candidate
Proven CFO or senior finance leadership experience, preferably within a lower-middle-market or private equity-backed organization.
Demonstrated success improving EBITDA, cash flow, profitability and operational performance.
Experience partnering with CEOs, Boards, ownership groups and/or private equity sponsors.
Strong background in FP&A, forecasting, financial reporting and cash management.
Experience with acquisitions, integrations, ERP implementations or finance transformation is highly valued.
A hands-on, commercially oriented leader who is comfortable both setting strategy and rolling up their sleeves to execute.
Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to build teams and influence across the organization.
