Collections SpecialistCentury Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Collections Specialist to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $28.00 to $35.00 per hour.Job ResponsibilitiesContact customers to request payment and address outstanding account balances.Review aging reports and prioritize accounts that need immediate attention.Work with clients to clarify billing questions and resolve simple disputes.Record collection activity and maintain accurate account notes for review.Collaborate with internal teams to gather information needed to clear unpaid invoices.RequirementsAbility to communicate clearly with customers in a professional and consistent manner.Strong attention to detail when reviewing account data and payment history.Skill in using accounting systems and spreadsheets to monitor balances and record updates.Ability to organize daily tasks and manage a steady volume of account follow up.Comfort working with sensitive financial information while maintaining discretion.QualificationsPrior experience in collections, accounts receivable, or a similar financial role.Familiarity with billing practices and customer account procedures.Proven ability to resolve payment issues through steady and patient communication.Strong basic math and analytical skills used to review account balances or payment trends.A customer service mindset with the ability to remain calm and respectful in challenging situations.
