Job description
Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base pay rate $35.00 to $45.00 per hour.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist with various accounting projects and tasks.
Ensure compliance with accounting principles and standards.
Reconcile bank statements, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other financial accounts.
Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts for future financial performance.
Handle grant funding processes, including managing the end of current grants and securing new funding.
Requirements: Have experience in the non-profit industry.
Be hands-on and proactive in accounting tasks.
Understand and manage grant funding, including three large grants from the same funder.
Be proficient in using MIP accounting software and assist in its cleanup.
Be comfortable managing a significant budget and collaborating with the Controller.
Qualifications: Have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Possess non-profit industry experience.
Demonstrate the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Show proficiency in managing accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other financial accounts.
Exhibit excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
