Senior Accountant
Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Accountant to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $43.00 to $45.00 per hour.
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP
Assist in developing and managing the annual budget and forecasting financial performance
Conduct account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in general ledger accounts
Oversee cash management processes including monitoring cash flow and ensuring timely payments
Coordinate internal and external audits and prepare required documentation for compliance
Requirements:
5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry
Apply strong knowledge of accounting software such as NetSuite and advanced Excel functions
Manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Communicate effectively with strong leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Maintain high attention to detail and accuracy in all financial reporting and analysis
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred
Understand financial reporting, budget management, and regulatory compliance standards
Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets and ensure accurate reporting
Contribute to process improvements and collaborate with departments to streamline operations
Stay informed on tax regulations and oversee preparation of filings such as corporate, sales, and VAT
