Job description
Talon Air is looking to add a fifth pilot to a Challenger 605 account, preferably a Captain, based in the New York area.
We are a Part 135 operator based in Farmingdale, NY, operating a fleet of 40+ aircraft including Global 6000/5000, Gulfstream 550/450, GV, G-IVSP, Challenger 604/605, Challenger 3500, Falcon 2000, Hawker 4000, and G200 platforms. We have been operating for over 25 years and have built a stable, long-term platform for both our clients and pilots.
This is a five-pilot account operating on an 8 days on / 6 days off schedule. Because the account is staffed with five pilots, the schedule will often work out better than the standard 8/6 rotation, depending on the month and trip activity.
The account is very charter-friendly, providing consistent flying and a strong opportunity to build meaningful time. The aircraft is expected to fly approximately 500-600 hours per year total.
We're looking for a pilot who wants the stability of a dedicated account while still having the opportunity to grow with Talon Air. While a Captain is preferred, qualified candidates who are currently serving as a First Officer may also be considered.
Talon Air offers real mobility across the fleet, with a clear path into larger-cabin aircraft. There are also opportunities to move into Part 91 accounts, check airman roles, and other leadership positions. You're not locked into one seat or one type unless you want to be.
