About This Role
The Charge Nurse in Labor & Delivery provides nursing care and services to patients and families while overseeing the nursing staff. This role is ideal for experienced nurses who excel in leadership and patient care coordination.

What You'll Do
Perform charge duties.
Identify patient care problems and ensure follow-up.
Set priorities for patient and unit/clinic needs.
Coordinate departmental activities and staff for optimum patient care.
Make/document assignments based on patient needs and staff competencies.
Monitor daily staffing and adjust according to census and unit needs.
Provide clear, consistent direction for staff.
Practice professional nursing and delegate tasks to nursing assistive personnel.
Utilize nursing process to deliver care.
Administer medications.
