Your purpose-driven work plays a vital role in protecting public health, supporting communities, and shaping a safer, more sustainable future.This position will be responsible for all production, blending, loading, and unloading of all plant chemicals. The plant operator will need to understand and operate all plant processes and procedures, while keeping a safe and clean working environment.Major AccountabilitiesProduce and mix chemicals as neededUnderstand and operate plant equipment and processesLoad and unload tanks, rail cars, tanker trailers, and all other containersRegularly lift 75 poundsOperate pumps, mixers, and blendersOperate forkliftKeep work area cleanLight maintenanceShift: Swing 3pm-11:30pm M-FBasic qualifications include:Desire and demonstrated ability to work safely and promote safety and safe work practices.Be quality conscious.High School diploma or equivalent.Stability in work history. Prefer a minimum of 2-3 years of prior work experience.Willing to submit to a background screening.Willing to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and physical.Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language well. This is a safety as well as an operational issue.Aptitude to follow written and verbal instructions in detail and learn additional skills with experience.Capacity to work in extreme conditions (temperature) and lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.Flexibility to work varying hours or shifts if necessary.Experience in manufacturing environment including use of tools and equipment is preferred.Ability to wear applicable personal protective equipment (PPE) including chemical resistant gloves and boots, safety glasses, hard hat, face shield, full-face respirator (if required), chemical splash suit (overalls and jacket).Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environmentWhy Thatcher is right for you100% company-funded Profit Sharing Plan (up to 25% of salary annually)401 (k) with traditional and Roth contribution optionsComprehensive benefits: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, HSA/FSA,3+ weeks of PTO, and paid holidaysQuarterly Safety BonusEducation reimbursement and ongoing professional developmentThe pay for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience).
