As a Chemical Mixer I, you'll help deliver the products that support clean water, safe food, and healthy environments around the world. You'll be responsible for operating and controlling chemical processing systems and equipment to produce high-quality products safely and efficiently. This is a hands-on opportunity to grow your skills in a dynamic environment while contributing to a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.How You'll Make an Impact:Review daily mix schedules and confirm availability of required raw materials to ensure smooth production flowAccurately add raw materials to mixing systems using manual methods, pumps, or automated equipment, following standard mix instructionsOperate mixing equipment with variable agitation to achieve consistent batch qualityMonitor product quality throughout the mixing and filling process, identifying and reporting any out-of-spec materials or batchesPartner with Quality team members to resolve batch discrepancies and ensure compliance with standardsPerform thorough cleaning of all mix tanks and associated equipment to maintain a safe and sanitary work environmentOperate forklifts, palletizers, scales, pumps, and other material handling equipment to move raw materials and finished goodsConduct routine preventative maintenance on production equipment and facility systemsMaintain accurate production records and equipment logsContribute to a culture of safety by following all Ecolab safety protocols and participating in safety initiativesCollaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements aligned with Ecolab's continuous improvement goalsPerform additional duties as assigned to support plant operations and team successPosition Details:Plant Location: Huntington, INWork Week & Shift: 1st shift, Monday - Friday 5:45 AM - 2:00 PM, with all-shift weekend OT as required based on business need.What's Unique About This Role:Be part of a team that directly supports Ecolab's mission to protect public health and the environmentGain hands-on experience with chemical processing systems and industry-leading safety practicesGrow in a supportive environment that values safety, collaboration, and shared successMinimum Qualifications:High School Diploma, GED or equivalent1+ years of previous experience with industrial (large batch) mixing experience, mixing multiple tanks at once1+ years of previous experience in chemical mixingNo immigration sponsorship available for this rolePhysical Requirements of Position:Lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 50 pounds chest highEcolab is committed to providing reasonable accommodation to qualified individuals with a disability.Preferred Qualifications:Experience working safely and efficiently in a chemical or manufacturing environmentAbility to understand systems, pumps, read meters, basic Quality Control data and to track mixing and quality information (mix logs, batch adjustments, etc.)Ability to perform basic Quality Control tests (perform pH testing, take samples)Excellent attention to detail; must be able to simultaneously mix several tanks and accurately complete related documentsExperience operating a ForkliftBasic knowledge of chemistry and chemical handlingMechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power toolsExcellent organizational and communication skillsExperience working effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environmentWhat's in it For You:Starting on Day 1: Access to our comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, matching 401K, company-paid pension, stock purchase plan, paid parental leave, select discounted childcare resources, and more!The opportunity to take on some of the world's most meaningful challenges, helping customers achieve clean water, safe food, and healthy environmentsThe ability to make an impact and shape your career with a company that is passionate about growthThe support of an organization that believes it is vital to include and engage diverse people, perspectives, and ideas to achieve our bestAbout Ecolab:At Ecolab, we prioritize our talent-first philosophy by creating the most capable and diverse team to excel at our nearly three million customer sites.
