Chief Anesthesiologist – OrthoVirginia’s Shrader Practice
Richmond, Virginia.
Description
OrthoVirginia is the largest orthopedic group in Virginia, employing over 140 physicians at 35 locations across the state. The Shrader Road practice includes top orthopedic surgeons, integrated physical therapy, and an on‑site office operatory.
Case Assignments
Routine outpatient orthopedics, focusing on expanding a new outpatient total joint program, including shoulders, knees, and hips.

Responsibilities
Assist in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department.
Medical management of patients rendered unconscious and/or insensible during surgery and other procedures.
Pre‑anesthesia assessment.
Obtaining and/or verifying patient consent.
Discussing anesthetic options and risks with patients.
Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia.
Monitoring patients’ physiological condition.
Performing clinical interventions as needed.
Qualifications
M.D./D.O. degree from an accredited College of Medicine.
ECFMG and FLEX certification.
Completion of an approved residency in anesthesia.
Current physician license.
