Job Title: Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer (CCPO)
Location: South Burlington, VT (On-Site)
Travel: Up to 20%
Key Responsibilities
Compliance & Privacy Strategy Design, implement, and monitor system-wide programs to mitigate risk and ensure regulatory compliance.
Regulatory Leadership Serve as the primary contact for federal/state agencies on compliance and privacy matters.
Team Management Directly lead a team of 12 , including Compliance Officers, Privacy Analysts, and Auditors.
Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Legal, Cybersecurity, and Operations to address compliance gaps and security risks.
Board & Executive Reporting Provide independent updates to the Audit Committee and executive leadership on critical issues.
What Were Looking For
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) strongly preferred (or Masters in Healthcare Admin, Business, or related field).
Experience:
5-7+ years in healthcare compliance/privacy , including leadership in a hospital or health system .
Expertise in HIPAA, fraud laws (False Claims Act, Stark Law), and billing compliance .
Proven ability to navigate complex organizations and influence stakeholders.
Leadership Skills:
Strong regulatory judgment with the ability to balance independence and collaboration .
Experience managing compliance audits, investigations, and corrective actions .
