Pay Grade: 15

Job Summary
The Chief Engineer serves as the on-site engineering leader with full accountability for the delivery of Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) services, including hard services, critical infrastructure, and advanced liquid cooling systems supporting high-density computer environments. This role provides technical leadership, team management, and operational oversight to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient facility performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the safety of all operating equipment within the facility
Develop and train all staff in plant and emergency procedures
Handle the procurement of all repair parts for routine preventative, and emergency repairs
Develop and maintain relationships with vendors
Develop a plant wide Preventative maintenance schedule for all building, process equipment, and all plant utilities
Maintain the departmental budget with focus on parts, supplies and labor management
Assure compliance with all wastewater and emissions standards
Oversee outside contractors in the repairs and upkeep of plant equipment
Available for off-site, plants startups and special projects
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or military experience is preferred
Ability to communicate effectively in written format and oral presentations
Ability to multi-task and establish priorities
Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment
Exhibits initiative, responsibility, flexibility and leadership
Must be capable of reading electrical schematics, mechanical, and plumbing blue prints
Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Good working knowledge all aspects of plant maintenance to include but not limited to; Electrical, Boilers, Hydraulics, Compressed Air, Mechanical Equipment
