Onsite/Exempt
Compensation: $140,000 – $150,000 base salary plus annual performance-based merit and bonus incentives
The San Rafael Chamber of Commerce is seeking an entrepreneurial and strategic President/CEO to lead our next era of economic vitality in Marin County.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Board of Directors, you will serve as the "North Star" for our organization—balancing high-level strategy with hands‑on execution. You will act as the trusted bridge between business, government, and the community, ensuring our continued impact as a pillar of the regional economy.
Key Impact Areas
Advocacy & Public Policy: Navigating complex political landscapes to champion business interests and streamline regulatory processes.
Strategic Leadership: Driving organizational growth, revenue‑generating partnerships, and mission‑aligned programming.
Public-Private Partnerships: Managing key municipal contracts and cultivating high‑level stakeholder relationships.
Operational Excellence: Overseeing governance, financial health, and a collaborative, high‑performing team.
Ideal Candidate Profile
5+ years of nonprofit or business leadership experience (Chamber/Association background preferred).
A diplomatic servant leader with an entrepreneurial spirit.
Demonstrated political acumen and the ability to build consensus among diverse stakeholders.
Proven record of navigating municipal regulatory/permitting environments.
Strong financial literacy and executive stewardship capabilities.
