Job description
Connect Search is conducting a confidential search for a Chief Financial Officer on behalf of a fast-growing, multi-site outpatient healthcare platform headquartered in Chicago's western suburbs. The company recently received a growth investment from a private capital firm and is entering its next phase of growth.
The Opportunity
This is a hands-on, builder role for an experienced finance leader who will serve as a strategic and operational partner to the CEO and COO. You will own forecasting, reporting, and cash management across a rapidly growing, multi-location healthcare platform, while modernizing financial systems, evaluating expansion opportunities, and mentoring a small but growing finance team.
What You'll Do
Partner directly with the CEO and COO to build financial and operational roadmaps in support of strategic objectives
Lead development of a forecast model across all locations, accounting for headcount, physical capacity, and staffing by treatment modality
Build weekly departmental reporting templates that track performance against forecast
Maintain rolling thirteen-week cash flow projections
Manage monthly financial statements and board reporting, building audit-readiness into financial processes
Oversee and mentor two financial staff members
Assist in tax preparation and coordination with external tax advisors
Oversee Revenue Cycle Management, including billing, denials management, fee schedules, payor contract negotiations, and collections
Oversee IT partners on BI technology and system implementations tied to financial reporting and KPIs
Evaluate new contracts and renewals for financial implications and assist in negotiations
Perform market research to evaluate expansion opportunities by facility or service line
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MBA preferred
8+ years of progressively responsible financial roles, with required experience in healthcare
Strong Controllers and VPs of Finance ready for their next step are encouraged to apply
Strong business partnership experience and the ability to work cross functionally
Proficiency with BI tools, AI, CRM software, and large-scale system implementations
A problem solver who is willing to roll up their sleeves and build
