Job description
A well-established NYC nonprofit is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead its financial operations.
Reporting to the President/CEO, the CFO will oversee all financial operations, lead the Finance team, and serve as the primary financial liaison to the Board.
Responsibilities
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP and grant/regulatory requirements
Oversee financial management of government contracts and grant-funded revenue
Manage cash flow and financial sustainability planning
Lead the annual audit process and serve as primary liaison to external auditors
Present financial results and recommendations to the Board and Finance Committee
Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance Department
Requirements
10+ years of progressively responsible financial leadership experience
Strong background with government contracts, grants, and restricted funding
Experience managing annual audits and Board-level reporting
