Job description
The Legal Department handles the contracts, intellectual property, and compliance questions that come with designing a quantum computer and publishing software. Quantum computing hardware can fall under export controls, the Quadra's sample vials contain prepared chemical compounds with their own shipping rules, and the company receives personal information from job applicants and customers, so the department's work is practical rather than abstract.
It works with Technology on protecting the Quadra design and the Qubi language, and with Operations on supplier agreements and shipping.
Areas of Work
Intellectual property Protection of the Quadra design, the Qubi language, and Qubibyte's trademarks and published material.
Contracts Supplier, partner, and customer agreements, and the terms under which the software on this site is used.
Export and shipping Compliance for exporting quantum hardware and shipping prepared molecular samples.
Privacy Handling of personal information from applicants, customers, and site visitors.
Corporate Formation records, governance, and filings.
Employment Offer letters and agreements as the executive team is hired.
