Job description
Optum South Carolina is seeking a Chief Medical Officer to serve as the senior clinical leader for our growing care delivery organization. This is a unique opportunity for a practicing physician leader to help shape clinical strategy, strengthen provider culture, advance quality initiatives, and represent Optum across the South Carolina market.
In this role, you will partner closely with executive and operational leadership to support provider engagement, clinical governance, population health outcomes, health equity, patient experience, and value-based care performance. You will also help mentor physician leaders, build trusted relationships across the market, and guide long-term clinical priorities that support both local care delivery and broader Optum strategy.
This opportunity offers the ability to practice medicine in an ambulatory setting while also leading at a meaningful strategic level, backed by the resources, data, and support of a national healthcare organization.
