Job description

About Tiger Sisters

Tiger Sisters is a fast-growing media company and podcast founded by sisters Jean Luo and Cherie Brooke Luo. We decode money, power, and love through honest conversations about ambition, relationships, reinvention, business, and modern womanhood.

As Tiger Sisters grows across podcasting, video, brand partnerships, live events, speaking engagements, community, and larger media projects, we are looking for a highly organized, strategic, and detail-oriented operator to help us build and run the operating system behind the business.

About the Role

We are looking for a Chief of Staff / Director of Operations to bring structure, clarity, and momentum to Tiger Sisters’ day-to-day operations and larger strategic projects.

This role is a true hybrid between operations and strategy, but it will always be operations-heavy. Tiger Sisters is currently a small but fast-growing team, which means everyone is close to the work. The right person is excited to operate at both levels: helping think through priorities and systems, while also chasing deadlines, updating trackers, coordinating schedules, sending follow-ups, organizing files, and making sure the details actually get done.

You will work closely with Jean and Cherie across podcast production, publishing, partnerships, scheduling, invoices, events, guest logistics, and internal systems. You will also work with our producer to track timelines, surface blockers, and help keep production and releases moving on schedule.

This role is for someone who can turn ideas into timelines, timelines into deliverables, and deliverables into shipped work.

What You’ll Own

Operations & Systems

Build and maintain a clear operating system across podcast production, publishing, partnerships, events, invoices, scheduling, and strategic projects.

Create and manage a single source of truth for deadlines, owners, deliverables, blockers, open questions, and next steps.

Build lightweight but effective trackers, calendars, SOPs, and workflows that help the business run more smoothly.

Run a weekly operating cadence with Jean and Cherie, including priorities, blockers, decisions needed, and follow-ups.

Notice operational gaps before they become problems and proactively recommend systems or process improvements.

Help ensure important details, deadlines, and commitments are not living only in Jean and Cherie’s heads.

Production & Publishing Coordination

Own the master podcast production and release calendar across recordings, edits, clips, approvals, publishing, and promotion.

Partner closely with our producer to coordinate production timelines, track deliverables, surface blockers, and keep episodes and related assets moving on schedule.

Ensure Jean and Cherie have the information, deadlines, reminders, and prep materials needed to make creative decisions efficiently.

Help coordinate production logistics across guests, shoots, assets, files, publishing platforms, and post-release follow-up.

Support publishing workflows across podcast platforms, YouTube, newsletters, social, and related distribution channels as needed.

Partnerships, Sponsors & Talent Logistics

Track sponsor and partner deliverables, including timelines, assets, links, approvals, publishing dates, and reporting needs.

Coordinate logistics for brand partnerships, guest interviews, speaking engagements, live events, and media opportunities.

Manage scheduling, follow-ups, prep materials, and next steps with external partners, guests, vendors, and collaborators.

Help create a polished, organized, and thoughtful experience for partners, guests, and talent.

Over time, communicate externally on behalf of Tiger Sisters with trusted partners, guests, sponsors, and vendors.

Founder Leverage & Strategic Projects

Help Jean and Cherie stay focused on high-leverage creative, strategic, and relationship-driven work.

Translate founder priorities into project plans, owners, deadlines, and next steps.

Flag what needs Jean/Cherie approval versus what can move forward without founder involvement.

Help identify what is urgent, what is important, what can wait, and what needs a founder decision.

Support larger Tiger Sisters initiatives across live events, brand partnerships, video/podcast expansion, book/media projects, community, speaking engagements, talent partnerships, and team growth.

Help bring order to ambiguity as the company scales.

Finance, Admin & Team Support

Organize invoice creation, payment tracking, vendor coordination, contractor paperwork, receipts, and finance-related admin.

Coordinate with tools and systems including Google Calendar, Gmail, Slack, QuickBooks, Gusto, Shopify, YouTube Studio, Spotify for Podcasters, Canva, Dropbox, and Google Drive.

Support hiring operations, onboarding, freelancer/vendor coordination, and internal documentation as the team grows.

Create repeatable SOPs for recurring workflows so the business becomes easier to run over time.

Help make Tiger Sisters’ operations more organized, scalable, and less founder-dependent.

What You Will Not Own at the Start

Final creative direction

Final episode concepts and positioning

Final sponsor pricing and deal negotiation

Final hiring and firing decisions

Final financial strategy

Legal decisions

Direct management of producer

Public-facing representation of Tiger Sisters without approval

That said, you will support the process around many of these areas by making sure the right information, timelines, and next steps are clear.

Who You Are

You are a strategic operator who loves making chaos operational.

You are energized by both the high-level and the low-level. You can help organize a major partnership or live event, and you are equally willing to chase a missing invoice, update a tracker, clean up a calendar, or make sure a file is in the right folder.

Three qualities are especially important for this role: ownership, proactiveness, and drive .

You take ownership from start to finish. When something is assigned to you, Jean and Cherie should not have to wonder where it stands, remind you multiple times, or chase you for updates. You follow through, communicate clearly, and make sure the ball does not get dropped.

You are proactive. You notice gaps, risks, and next steps before being asked. You do not wait for perfect instructions in order to move things forward. You are comfortable saying, “Here’s what I think needs to happen next,” and then making it happen.

You are driven. You care about excellence, momentum, and outcomes. You want to help build something meaningful, and you bring urgency, resourcefulness, and pride to the details that make a growing business run.

You are highly detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and comfortable operating in ambiguity. You can execute reliably on what is assigned, but you also notice gaps, create systems, and tell founders what needs to happen before they ask.

Ideal Background

4–7 years of experience in operations, project management, founder support, startups, media, creator businesses, agencies, corporate roles, or other fast-moving environments.

Strong organizational and project management skills.

Excellent written communication and follow-up.

Experience managing calendars, deadlines, vendors, workflows, and cross-functional projects.

Comfortable working with founders or senior leaders directly.

Able to balance urgency with good judgment.

Comfortable operating in a small, fast-moving team where priorities can shift quickly.

Comfortable using tools like Google Calendar, Gmail, Slack, QuickBooks, Gusto, YouTube Studio, Spotify for Podcasters, Canva, Dropbox, Shopify, AI tools, Google Drive.

Startup, media, podcast, creator economy, or brand partnership experience is a plus, but not required.

What Success Looks Like

Jean and Cherie spend less time chasing deadlines and operational details and more time on items only they specifically can do as talent and founders.

A clear operating system across production, publishing, partnerships, events, invoices, and strategic projects.

Podcast production and release timelines are easily tracked and managed.

Sponsor and partner deliverables staying organized and on schedule.

Meetings, follow-ups, and next steps happening without founder involvement.

Repeatable workflows and SOPs that make Tiger Sisters easier to run.

Clearer visibility into what is moving, what is blocked, and what needs a decision.

Location & Working Style

This role is LA-based. Regular in-person collaboration is expected, especially during onboarding, recordings, shoots, events, and major project pushes.

This is not a traditional 9–5 role. Tiger Sisters operates across media, partnerships, events, and launches, so occasional flexibility around nontraditional hours may be needed. We value reliability, responsiveness, strong judgment, and clear communication.

This role will support Tiger Sisters first and foremost, with some flex across Jean and Cherie’s Instagram, LinkedIn, and broader brand-building work where it directly supports the Tiger Sisters ecosystem.
