I'm recruiting on behalf of a client — a fast-scaling AI startup in San Francisco that's raised $35M, serves 700+ enterprise customers, and is growing from 80 to 200+ people.
They need a Chief of Staff. Not a gatekeeper. Not an EA with a fancy title. A genuine operator who sits next to the founders, owns the hardest problems, and gets things done without being told twice.

This role is 60-70 hours a week, 5-6 days in office. The founders work at an intense pace and expect the same from whoever is beside them. If that's not for you, no hard feelings — this post isn't for you.

What you'll own
3-6 month strategic projects from kickoff to completion — hiring processes, key partnerships, operational design
Finding and fixing problems before the founders even see them
Building the structure and documentation that lets a company scale without breaking
Being a genuine thought partner on culture, hiring, and growth decisions
What they need
4-7 years in consulting, banking, bizops, or a Chief of Staff role
Real startup experience — you've been hands-on, not just advisory
San Francisco based (or ready to relocate)
A doer who leads with execution, not decks
