Job description
Memorial Healthcare System is seeking a Chief Resident for the Pediatric Residency Program for academic year 2027 - 2028. The Chief Resident will support the educational and programmatic objectives of the Pediatric Residency Program. The selected candidate will function as a resident liaison while teaching, supervising, and serving as a role model under the guidance of the Residency Program Director. The position includes administrative, educational, and clinical responsibilities and provides an excellent opportunity to develop leadership skills while gaining an understanding of institutional administrative policies. Memorial Healthcare System received institutional ACGME accreditation in August 2015 and welcomed its inaugural class of Pediatric residents in 2018. The Pediatric Residency Program is an established and innovative program with 24 current residents and a postgraduate chief. The program offers an individualized curriculum designed to prepare residents for primary pediatric care, subspecialty training, or other career paths, with guidance from physician mentors.

The eight-story, nearly 400,000-square-foot, environmentally friendly facility features state-of-the-art patient rooms, cardiac hybrid operating rooms, surgical and interventional radiology suites, intensive care and cardiac intensive care units, intraoperative MRI, family resource and respite spaces, ambulatory services, imaging services that feature a CT scanner disguised as a pirate ship, and inpatient and outpatient pediatric oncology treatment.
