Chief Technology and AI Innovation Officer - ICBD

ICBD is a robust single-family office focused on private investment and business development, supporting exceptional companies in healthcare, technology, and beyond. We own and operate a growing portfolio of high-performance businesses united by a shared commitment to people, operational excellence, and long-term value creation. We are self-funded, committed to sustainable growth, and led by visionary thought leaders, including our CEO and Founder. Our portfolio includes ABA Centers, GateHouse Treatment, Marquis MD, Exact Billing Solutions, Curative AI, and The Christopher M. Barnett Family Foundation, among others, all aligned toward excellence and innovation.

Awards and recognition across industries underscore our commitment to operational excellence, ethical leadership, and transformative care.

The Role

Overview: Reporting to the ICBD CEO, we seek a sophisticated technology leader to drive our strategic IT vision and implement customer-centric, cutting-edge AI solutions that drive product revenue and commercialize innovation. You will be the architect of our technical future and the essential bridge between client-facing teams and engineering capabilities. You will lead AI innovation, transforming customer needs into commercial products and driving efficiency in a fast-growth environment. This role requires an execution-oriented senior executive capable of bridging Gen AI/ML, complex healthcare platforms and data, as well as operational excellence.

Responsibilities and core focus areas include strategic technology leadership, growth, cross-team collaboration, operational improvement, and leadership alignment with the executive team.

Responsibilities

Define and execute the company’s technology strategy, aligning with business goals and supporting ICBD’s strategic priorities.

Lead AI strategy development by understanding the AI needs of ICBD’s portfolio companies and integrating AI initiatives to improve outcomes.

Work directly with clients and commercial teams to understand pain points and deliver customer-obsessed solutions.

Act as the primary technical liaison between sales/client-facing teams and the development team, translating business goals into technical requirements and vice-versa.

Drive operational excellence in a hands-on, rapid-growth environment; refine internal technical processes, automate routine tasks, and build scalable, secure, reliable systems.

Translate technical concepts into clear business language for the senior leadership team and foster collaboration across functions.

Qualifications, Personal Attributes & Experience

Education/Experience: 10+ years in technology leadership roles in highly results-driven entrepreneurial environments, preferably in healthcare, including managing AI/ML teams.

Technical Expertise: Significant software development experience including at least 5 years in AI strategy, including developing bespoke AI solutions on an individual-use case basis.

Commercial Acumen: A customer-obsessed mindset with proven experience driving product revenue and commercializing technical innovations.

Exceptional Communicator: Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling business language for clients and stakeholders.

Leadership & Influence: Experience building or guiding technical teams, mentoring engineers, and fostering a culture of innovation.

Education: MBA or Master’s preferred; Bachelor’s in technology-related field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Systems) desirable.

Benefits

Competitive salary commensurate with experience. Comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and professional development assistance.
