Job Duties
Types of Patients Include Neglect, Physical/Sexual Abuse, Medical Abuse, Drug Endangerment, Witnessed Violence
Focus on Comprehensive Medical Evaluation
SCAN Consults (Suspected Child Abuse and Neglect) – Inpatient Consults are provided 7 Days a Week to Anyone in the Hospital
In-Patient Coverage is Shared Between All Providers (1:5)

Requirements of the Child Abuse Pediatrician
Doctor of Medicine (MD)/Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
Board Certified/Eligible
Completed Pediatric Residency
Have/Will Complete Child Abuse Fellowship
