nChild & Adolescent Psychiatrist
nUNC Department of Psychiatry – Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Division
nLocation : Butner, NC
nPosition Type : Full-Time (1.0 FTE, 40 hours per week), Fixed-Term Faculty Appointment
nThe UNC Department of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry is seeking a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to provide inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care for children, adolescents, and young adults. This faculty position will be based at UNC’s new Youth Behavioral Hospital in Butner, NC, with opportunities to work on either the adolescent inpatient unit or the young adult unit.
nThis is a full-time (1.0 FTE/40-hour per week) position with a minimum of 50% inpatient clinical responsibilities and the opportunity for up to 100% inpatient practice. Outpatient responsibilities may include both in-person and virtual care. Faculty will also participate in the education and supervision of fellows, residents, medical students, and other healthcare trainees.

nnnMD or DO degree required

nnBoard Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
n
nnEligible for North Carolina medical licensure
n
n nPreferred Experience
nnnClinical experience treating children, adolescents, and young adults
n
nnStrong clinical and diagnostic skills
n
nnDemonstrated commitment to teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, fellows, and interdisciplinary healthcare trainees
