Child & Adolescent Psychiatry - ED & Outpatient Crisis Clinic - Brown Academic Appointment
Providence, Rhode Island
Bradley Hospital & Hasbro Children's Hospital, affiliated hospitals of the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, have an opening for a board certified or eligibleChild & Adolescent Psychiatrist interested in working in a combined Emergency Services and Outpatient Crisis Clinic position. Opportunity for Brown University Clinical Faculty appointment if desired.
About the Job:
Treating children and teens presenting in behavioral health crisis in the emergency department and in our urgent short-term clinic which provides short-term stabilization on an outpatient basis
Some patients have co-existing medical and psychiatric disorders
Collaborate with amultidisciplinary teamincluding child psychiatry trainees, NPs, PAs, LICSWs, LMHCs, and qualified mental health providers
Opportunities to teach and provide supervision
Work Monday through Friday, 8:00-4:30
Weeknight call is 8-9 nights (phone coverage from home) per year, weekend coverage at 3 or 4 times per year
About You:
Board certified or eligible (within 5 years of residency) physician with fellowship training in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
Licensed or license-eligible in Rhode Island
Desire to work in a team-based care model
Bring a passion for helping children in complex social and/or medical situations
Good sense of humor, flexibility, ability to triage and prioritize dynamic clinical needs
